Tuna Atay
Tuna is a Principal of H.I.G. Realty Partners based in London. He is responsible for originating, structuring and executing real estate transactions across Europe.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Tuna was at Brookland Partners focusing on real estate debt and CMBS restructurings. Previously, Tuna worked at Lehman Brothers in their Global Real Estate Group with a focus on real estate backed transactions. During this time, he structured and executed UK and pan-European CMBS deals with total issuance in excess of €3 billion and he also focused on distribution of Lehman’s European real estate debt products.
Tuna holds an MPhil degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge, Sidney Sussex College.
John Bolduc
John est Executive Managing Director de Bayside Capital. Depuis son arrivée chez H.I.G. en 1993, il est en charge de l’origination de l’exécution ainsi que du suivi des participations.
John compte plus de vingt ans d’expérience dans le domaine des
fusions-acquisitions, du capital-investissement et du conseil stratégique. Il a mené avec succès ou participé à plus de 50 transactions dans des entreprises de taille moyenne, pour une valeur cumulée supérieure à $3 milliards.
Avant de rejoindre H.I.G. Capital, John a dirigé des missions au niveau national et international pour des clients du Fortune 500 pour le compte de la société Bain & Company, l’un des plus importants cabinets de conseil en stratégie dans le monde. Ses missions ont été principalement orientées sur la stratégie de distribution, l’efficacité de la production et la conception de l’organisation sur un large éventail de secteurs d’activité. Avant de travailler chez Bain & Company, John a officié en qualité d’assistant du Président de Chemed Corporation (CHE, NYSE), entreprise du secteur de la chimie de spécialité au chiffre d’affaires de $500 millions.

Sean Britain
Sean is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Bayside Capital’s credit and special situations strategy in the U.S. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring, and portfolio company oversight. Sean has led numerous successful Bayside investments and sits on the Investment Committee for the Bayside U.S. funds.
Sean has over 20 years of credit, special situations, and private equity investing experience. Before joining Bayside, Sean was a Principal at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm. He began his investment career at Saunders Karp & Megrue, a middle market U.S. private equity firm.
Mr. Britain received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.
Alessandro Correnti
Alessandro is a Director in the London office of H.I.G.’s Bayside Capital, where he focuses on corporate stressed and distressed credit and special situations in Europe. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, from origination and research, to structuring, execution and portfolio monitoring.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Alessandro worked in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in London, where he advised clients on M&A, equity and debt transactions, primarily in the transport and logistics and business services sectors.
Alessandro earned his BSc in Economics and Finance and his MSc in Finance from Bocconi University in Milan, studying also at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
Jackson Craig
Jackson is a Managing Director and the Co-Head of H.I.G.'s Bayside Capital special situations and distressed debt strategy in the U.S. Currently, he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and post-closing growth strategies.
Jackson brings over twenty years of experience in private equity investing into this capacity. Before joining Bayside, Jackson spent ten years with DDJ Capital Management, LLC, a leading middle market high yield debt and private equity firm. While at DDJ, he co-managed the private equity strategy and led investments across a number of sectors. Jackson also sat on the Board of Directors of several DDJ portfolio companies. Prior to DDJ, Jackson worked with Morgan Stanley as a research analyst on the special situations trading desk.
Jackson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
Darryl Cregg
Darryl is a Managing Director of Bayside Capital based in Miami. He is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence, structuring, and portfolio company oversight. Darryl has investing experience across a wide range of industries, including business services, consumer, industrials, and healthcare.
Prior to joining Bayside, Darryl worked in private equity at Madison Dearborn Partners and began his career in the mergers and acquisitions group at Credit Suisse.
Darryl earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.B.A in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan.
Riccardo Dallolio
Riccardo is Managing Director and Head of the H.I.G. Realty Fund in Europe. He is located in H.I.G.'s London office and is responsible for investment origination, transaction structuring and oversight of the European portfolio.
With over 20 years in the real estate industry, Riccardo has extensive investment and transactional experience across a number of jurisdictions in Europe. Prior to H.I.G. Capital, he was at AXA RE, where he was Head of Alternatives and Special Situations. During his time at AXA RE, he also held the position of Head of Transaction Europe and Head of Asset Management and Transactions in France. Prior to AXA RE, Riccardo worked at Grove International Partners, and before that in the JPMorgan Partners Real Estate Group in London.
Riccardo holds an MSC in Finance from Bocconi University and studied at The Wharton School of Business.
Till Dunnwald
Till is a Director of H.I.G. Bayside Capital and is based in the London office, where he focuses on distressed European corporate debt and special situations. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including research, structuring and execution.
Till has over 6 years of experience in performing and distressed credit investing across a broad range of industries in Europe. Prior to joining Bayside, Till was at Park Square Capital focusing on senior and mezzanine debt investments.
Till holds a BSc from Maastricht University SBE and a MSc in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Jérôme Fouillé
Jérôme is a Managing Director in H.I.G. Capital's London office, where he focuses on pan-European real estate investments for H.I.G. Realty Partners.
Jérôme has more than 15 years of experience in real estate private equity. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital in 2019, Jérôme worked for GIC, Colony Capital and Heitman, where he completed over +€1 billion of equity and debt investments in real estate and asset heavy platforms across Europe. His experience ranges from Core Plus to Opportunistic investments, including portfolio acquisition, distressed investments, property developments and corporate acquisitions.
Jérôme earned an M.B.A. from London Business School and undergraduate degree in Finance and Economics from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Rouen.
Mihai Gavriloiu
Mihai is a Principal of H.I.G. Realty Partners in the London office. Mihai is focused on European NPLs and real estate special situations, involving all aspects of the investment process from origination and negotiation to structuring and execution. He is also responsible for investing and monitoring real estate investments across Europe including France.
Prior to joining H.I.G. Realty Partners, Mihai worked for Moelis & Company, a global investment bank, where he focused on corporate restructuring advisory. Previously, Mihai was in the Corporate & Investment Banking Division of BNP Paribas in London concentrating on corporate restructurings. Mihai started his career as an auditor working for Deloitte in France.
Mihai is a graduate of EM Lyon Business School and of Paris-Sorbonne University.
Elias Huchler
Elias is a Principal in the London office of H.I.G. Capital. He focuses on European corporate debt situations and is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination and research, to structuring and execution.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Elias was a Senior Associate in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley where he worked on a wide range of M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions, primarily in the healthcare and energy sectors. He previously worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and Istanbul where he completed various equity and debt investments in CEE, CIS and Turkey.
Elias received a B.A. in Business from ESB Reutlingen, an M.A. in Economics from College of Europe in Bruges and an M.B.A. from the London Business School. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Florian Kawohl
Florian is a Managing Director of Bayside Capital and splits his time between the Hamburg and London offices. Florian is focused on European non-control distressed corporate debt situations with an emphasis on distressed and stressed credits in the German speaking markets. He is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination and research to structuring and execution.
Florian has over 20 years of relevant experience across a broad range of industries including chemicals, building materials and general industrials. He spent the majority of his working life in European distressed debt investing but also has experience in principal investing and management consulting.
Prior to joining Bayside, Florian spent 14 years at Strategic Value Partners, a distressed and deep-value investment firm, where he was a Managing Director. Prior to this, Florian was an Associate Director at Carlyle Group Private Equity and a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Company.
Florian earned a German law degree from the University of Hamburg and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Richard Kiveal
Richard is a Principal of H.I.G. Realty based in London and is part of the real estate group’s structured finance investments team, with responsibility for structuring and deal execution.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Richard was a member of Deutsche Bank’s European commercial real estate finance team, working on real estate lending, securitisation and distressed debt transactions across Europe. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Richard qualified as a lawyer and practiced in Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s private equity and real estate finance team.
Richard holds a degree in law from the University of Oxford.
Mathilde Malezieux-Dehon
Mathilde is a Managing Director in the London office of H.I.G. Capital. She focuses on European corporate debt situations and is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination and research to structuring, execution, and portfolio company oversight.
Mathilde has over sixteen years of performing and distressed credit investing experience in Europe. She has successfully completed a number of investments at all levels of the capital structure and in a broad range of industries. She joined in 2011 from Nomura where she worked on European senior and mezzanine debt investments.
Mathilde graduated from HEC Paris business school.
Sami Mnaymneh
Sami Mnaymneh, fondateur et co-président de H.I.G. Capital a développé la firme depuis sa création en 1993. Il approuve toutes les décisions d'investissement prises par H.I.G. M. Mnaymneh est un investisseur reconnu dans plusieurs secteurs, notamment les services aux entreprises, le marketing direct et la production. Il a par ailleurs mené de nombreux investissements de H.I.G liés aux consolidations industrielles.
Avant de créer H.I.G., M. Mnaymneh était Managing Director chez Blackstone, à New York, où il s'était spécialisé dans le conseil aux sociétés de "Fortune 100". Auparavant, il était Vice-Président dans le département de Fusions & Acquisitions de Morgan Stanley où il a conseillé les principaux fonds américains de Private Equity sur leurs opérations de LBO. Au cours de sa carrière, M. Mnaymneh a dirigé plus de 75 transactions, d'une valeur globale de plus de 10 milliards de dollars. Il siège actuellement au conseil d'administration de plusieurs sociétés en portefeuille de H.I.G.

Tom Newman
Tom is a Principal based in the London office, and Head of H.I.G. Bayside European trading and sourcing. He focuses on European distressed and special situation credit investments.
Tom has over 10 years of experience focused on credit investments and trading. Before joining H.I.G., Tom worked in the markets division of Lloyds Bank, where he focused on the trading and sale of distressed and high yield securities and was instrumental in the bank’s asset sell down program after the financial crisis. Prior to Lloyds, Tom worked at Lehman Brothers Europe.
Tom received a B.B.A. from the University of Bath and a M.Sc. in Finance from Bayes Business School where he graduated first in his class with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Duncan Priston
Duncan is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the European Bayside Capital Fund and co-heads the firm's European non-control distressed corporate debt activities.
Duncan has over twenty five years of investment banking and distressed debt experience across a broad range of industries across Europe. Prior to joining Bayside, Duncan was at Strategic Value Partners, a special situations and distressed debt hedge fund, for six years where he was a Managing Director and Head of European trading. Prior to this, Duncan was at Houlihan Lokey, a leading financial restructuring advisory firm, for four years, where he was a Senior Vice President. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Duncan spent six years working in European mergers and acquisitions at Lazard and Morgan Stanley.
Duncan holds a Bachelor in Science in Economics and Accounting from Bristol University.
Rick Rosen
Rick is Co-President of H.I.G. Capital with over twenty-five years of private equity and M&A experience. In his current position, along with Brian Schwartz, he directs the day-to-day operations of the firm and sits on the investment committees for all H.I.G. funds.
Since joining H.I.G. in 1998, he has been involved in all aspects of the investment process; and has held leadership positions in several of the firm’s funds.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Rick worked at General Electric Company and GE Capital. As part of the Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team, he coordinated a variety of strategic acquisitions in the financial services, plastics, medical systems, electronics, and aerospace industries. Previously, Rick was a member of the GE Corporate Finance Staff, where he helped design and implement improved business strategies and operating processes for GE Capital business units.
Rick received his undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Tareck Safi
Tareck is a Managing Director in the London office, with responsibility for European real estate debt investments.
Prior to joining H.I.G., he was head of commercial real estate debt investments for EMEA at PIMCO, focusing on private transactions. He previously held senior positions at Societe Generale and RBS, both on the public side, in the asset-backed trading team, and on the private side, as head of European CMBS structuring.
He has 22 years of investment and financial services experience and holds a master's degree in finance from the London School of Economics. He also has a statistics degree from ENSAE and an engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique.
Esteban Caja Samboal
Esteban is a Managing Director with responsibility for sourcing and executing real estate transactions in Spain and Portugal.
Esteban has been investing in European real estate for more than twelve years, most recently as a Principal at Aermont Capital, focusing on Spain and Portugal, where he was responsible for the acquisition and management of a variety of real estate asset classes and investment strategies. Prior to Aermont (previously Perella Weinberg Real Estate), Esteban worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland´s Structure Property Finance Team, and before that in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Lehman Brothers in London. Esteban started his career at McKinsey & Company in Madrid.
Esteban holds an M.B.A. degree from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from University Carlos III of Madrid.
Adam Schimel
Mr. Schimel is a Managing Director and Co-Head of H.I.G.'s U.S. Bayside Capital credit and special situations fund. Mr. Schimel has led several successful investments for the firm and currently sits on the Investment Committee for the Bayside U.S. funds.
Mr. Schimel has more than twenty years of credit and special situations investment experience. Before joining Bayside, Mr. Schimel was an Associate at Lindsay Goldberg, a middle market private equity investment firm. In this role, he was responsible for investment analysis and working closely with the management of portfolio companies to execute strategic initiatives. Prior to Lindsay Goldberg, Mr. Schimel worked in the leveraged finance group at Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Schimel received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Brian Schwartz
Brian is Co-President of H.I.G. Capital. He joined the firm in 1994. In his current position, along with Rick Rosen, he directs the day-to-day operations of the firm and sits on the investment committees for all H.I.G. funds.
Since joining H.I.G. in 1994, Brian held a number of leadership positions at the firm.
Prior to joining H.I.G., Brian worked in PepsiCo’s strategic planning group. His responsibilities included managing strategic acquisitions for PepsiCo and evaluating new business opportunities. Brian began his career with the investment banking firm of Dillon, Read and Co. where he split his time between the corporate finance group and the private equity funds, Saratoga Partners and Yorktown Partners.
Brian earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.S. with honors from the University of Pennsylvania.
Andrew Scotland
Andrew Scotland, based in London, is a Managing Director and co-heads the firm's European non-control distressed corporate debt activities.
Andrew is focused on European non-control distressed corporate debt situations, and is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination and research to structuring and execution.
Andrew has twenty-two years of investment banking and distressed investment experience. He previously worked as a Managing Director in RBS’s Special Situations Group for more than six years, where he was the senior analyst focused on European distressed investments. Before RBS, Andrew was a Director in the Equity Research department of ABN AMRO; and prior to that was in the top ranked Institutional Investor research teams at Citigroup and Credit Suisse.
Andrew is a CFA charter holder and a graduate of Oxford University.
James Smith
James Smith is a Principal based in H.I.G.’s London office. He works within the real estate asset management team, and specialises in U.K. and European real estate.
James’s career spans more than 20 years, having held senior positions in private equity and real estate investment businesses, covering all aspects of asset management, property development, acquisitions and disposals. Prior to working with H.I.G. he was an Executive Director and European Head of Asset Management for specialist retail investor and developer Thor Equities, where he oversaw the €2 billion European portfolio. Before Thor Equities, James was responsible for the M&A team of Atrium European Real Estate, where he was responsible for acquisitions and disposals throughout the European portfolio of €3 billion. Earlier in his career, James worked for Goodman and Europa Capital in various transaction and asset management roles.
James holds a BSc (Hons) in Urban Property Surveying from Northumbria University.
Tony Tamer
Tony Tamer, fondateur et co-président de H.I.G. Capital a développé la firme depuis sa création en 1993. Il approuve toutes les décisions d'investissement prises par H.I.G. Il a réalisé de nombreux investissements pour H.I.G., en LBO et en capital développement, et est un investisseur reconnu. M. Stelios Theodosiou
Stelios is a Managing Director of H.I.G. Realty based in London. He has more than fifteen years of real estate principal investment experience, employing both equity and credit opportunistic strategies across a broad spectrum of real estate asset classes across Europe. His experience includes distressed acquisitions (e.g. NPLs and REOs), operating platforms, corporate restructurings, portfolio break-ups, property developments and forward acquisitions.
Prior to H.I.G., Stelios was a Director with Deutsche Bank’s European credit structuring & trading teams and a senior originator in the real estate direct lending business with a focus on special situations. Prior to that, he was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Alternative & Real Assets opportunistic investment team based in London.
Stelios holds an undergraduate degree in Operational Research & Marketing from Athens University of Economics & Business and a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD.
Chris Zlatarev
Chris Zlatarev is Managing Director of H.I.G. Realty Partners based in London and is responsible for originating and structuring real estate investments across Europe.
Chris has over 15 years of principal investing experience across value-add, opportunistic, special situation and credit real estate strategies and has led both equity and debt transactions for H.I.G. across multiple real estate sectors and geographies. Previously, Chris was a Partner at Kildare Partners and also held investment roles at Varde Partners and AIG Global Real Estate.
Chris holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Drexel University.
